WHY TRAIN WITH ME

Optimize your workout for faster results

With proper exercise selection and programming, you will eliminate wasted time, avoid plateaus, and achieve your goals at an accelerated pace. Most people are not well versed on exercise selection and designing workouts, reps and set schemes, and progression protocols.  I ensure all those things are taken care of and the only thing you need to do is show up and perform.

Ensure proper form and safety

I personally monitor all exercise techniques for proper form to ensure clients are performing movements correctly.  Correct exercise technique reduces the risk of injury and increases results.

Confidence

Many people feel intimidated or overwhelmed in the gym because there is a ton of equipment that they may not know how to do, unsure of exercise technique, or what exercise to do and when.  I take care of all of that for you.

Accountability & Motivation

Having a trainer makes it much more difficult to give up on your exercise goals.  Trainers keep you accountable by scheduling sessions and rescheduling sessions when you miss workouts.  We provide motivation by pushing you past your limits to make progress and encouraging you to keep going.  We know what it takes to achieve fitness related goals and anyone with the proper coaching and consistency can achieve most goals.

Personalization

Workouts and programs are designed specifically to you and your needs based on goals, injury history, time, and exercise history.  A workout may be planned for a specific day but if a client walks in the door and needs to make an adjustment on the fly, I am able to think quickly on my feet and make those adjustments so that you continue to have a productive workout and make progress.

In addition to all these things, I am not a fly-by-night trainer who just learned a couple of things yesterday and is selling them today.  I have 15+ years of personal experience training lifting weights and experimenting with exercise and nutrition protocols.  I earned by master’s degree in  Exercise Science from Florida Atlantic University in 2026 and have been certified as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer through National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2013.  I am continually furthering my education in the field of exercise and nutrition through reading, conventions, and personal interactions with others in the field.  If you have exercise and nutrition related goals, I would love to help you achieve them!

Meet Coach Rothermel

Born and raised in Pennsylvania. After playing sports all my life, I fell in love with lifting weights at the age of 18. After a few years of training myself and becoming obsessed with all things weight training, I went on to get certified through NSCA as a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and began my career as a personal trainer.

In my early 20s I took a chance with my then girlfriend, now wife, and moved to Florida with nothing and nobody except each other. I continued personal training and eventually went back to school at FAU to get my MS in Exercise Science.

Since then, I have competed in multiple powerlifting competitions and continue to love strength training, nutrition, diet, and competitive strength sports since the bug bit me at the age of 18. I continue to learn and educate myself each and every year.

As time has gone on, my wife and I started a family, which has made me understanding training and nutrition in a whole new light. Being a busy parent who still wants to prioritize health and fitness has made me a more well-rounded professional who can help and appreciate people in similar circumstances.
