1. Introduction

Rothermel Strength LLC ("Rothermel Strength," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to responsibly handling personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you interact with our websites, services, and applications, including:

Please review this Privacy Policy to understand how your information may be used.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our services, we may collect the following information.

Account and Contact Information

  • Name and email address

  • Account registration and authentication information

  • Information submitted through contact forms, coaching assessments, or consultations

  • Communications you send to Rothermel Strength

StrengthMap authentication is provided through Supabase. Passwords are handled by the authentication system rather than being stored as readable passwords in our application database.

StrengthMap Assessment Information

StrengthMap processes information that users voluntarily enter, which may include:

  • Age, selected sex/model, and bodyweight

  • Height, when provided

  • Exercises, lifting weights, and repetitions

  • Estimated one-repetition maximums (e1RM)

  • Strength classifications and balance relationships

  • Strength visualizations, assessment history, and saved results

  • Public sharing preferences and shared assessment data

StrengthMap allows users to perform calculations without saving assessments to their account history. Saving an assessment requires an explicit user action.

Coaching and Service Information

When you inquire about or enroll in coaching services, we may collect information relevant to the services requested, such as training experience, fitness goals, exercise preferences, relevant health or injury information you choose to provide, and progress measurements.

Technical and Usage Information

We may collect information about how our websites and applications are accessed and used, including:

  • Browser and device information

  • General location information derived from IP addresses

  • Page visits and application interactions

  • Feature usage and engagement

  • Performance diagnostics and error information

  • Cookies and similar technologies

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate and maintain our websites and applications

  • Create and authenticate user accounts

  • Generate StrengthMap assessments and visualizations

  • Save and retrieve assessments at a user's request

  • Provide public sharing features

  • Deliver coaching, scheduling, and customer support

  • Process purchases and administer services

  • Maintain security and prevent unauthorized activity

  • Analyze application performance, engagement, and usability

  • Improve our products, services, and user experience

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We may also send service-related communications, such as account confirmations, password recovery emails, scheduling information, or important product notices.

Promotional communications, where offered, will be subject to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

4. Analytics, Cookies, and Similar Technologies

Rothermel Strength uses analytics technologies to understand website traffic, product engagement, and application performance.

StrengthMap uses PostHog for event tracking, website analytics, feature usage measurement, and performance monitoring.

These analytics help us understand how visitors and registered users interact with StrengthMap, including:

  • How many visitors access the application

  • How many users begin and complete assessments

  • Which application features are used

  • How often users return

  • Whether users save assessments or create public sharing links

  • How visitors navigate between the Rothermel Strength website and StrengthMap

Session Replay recording is currently disabled. We do not routinely record replay sessions of users interacting with StrengthMap.

Our StrengthMap analytics implementation is designed to avoid including raw age, bodyweight, lifting values, or email addresses in custom analytics event properties. Authenticated analytics identify users using a Supabase account identifier rather than their email address.

PostHog may also collect automatically generated technical information and interaction events, which can include information about the browser, device, page, and elements being used.

Our websites and application may use cookies or similar browser technologies to support authentication, normal functionality, security, and analytics.

Users may be able to manage certain cookies through their browser settings. Disabling some technologies may affect website or application functionality.

Where applicable law requires additional notice, consent, or choices regarding analytics technologies, we will provide or honor those requirements.

If our use of analytics technologies materially changes, we may update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

5. Information Sharing and Service Providers

We use third-party services to operate our business and support website and application functionality.

Depending on the service being used, these providers may include:

  • Squarespace: Website hosting and website functionality

  • Cloudflare: StrengthMap hosting, delivery, and security

  • Supabase: StrengthMap authentication, database storage, and application services

  • PostHog: Analytics and application usage measurement

  • Resend: Transactional email services

  • Google Workspace: Business email and communications

  • Jotform: Forms and information collection

  • My PT Hub: Coaching delivery, training records, and client management

  • Stripe: Payment processing

  • Cal.com: Appointment scheduling

These providers may process information necessary to deliver their respective services, subject to their agreements, privacy practices, and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to respond to lawful requests, protect users or our services, investigate security incidents, or facilitate a lawful business transfer.

6. Public StrengthMap Sharing

StrengthMap allows users to voluntarily create public links to assessments, progress information, and profiles.

Anyone who receives a valid public sharing link may be able to view the information presented through that link without creating an account.

Users should carefully review the information being shared before distributing a link.

Deleting a StrengthMap account is designed to remove the user's associated public share records. Our account-deletion testing confirmed that previously valid public sharing links became unavailable after the owning account was deleted.

Recipients may already have copied, saved, or captured information shared before deletion. Rothermel Strength cannot guarantee removal of information independently retained by those recipients.

7. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain accounts and saved assessments, meet operational requirements, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the provider responsible for processing or storage.

Analytics events, system logs, transaction records, historical recordings collected before Session Replay was disabled, and backups may be subject to retention procedures separate from StrengthMap's primary database.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to our services, including access controls, authentication, and secure infrastructure providers.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements.

8. Account and Data Deletion

StrengthMap users may delete individual saved assessments from their account history.

Users may also permanently delete their StrengthMap account through the application's:

My History → Account Settings → Delete Account

Account deletion requires additional confirmation and removes the account's associated profile, saved assessments, lift records, and owned public sharing records from StrengthMap's primary application database.

Deletion of primary account records does not necessarily result in immediate removal of information maintained in provider backups, security logs, analytics systems, or legally required records.

To request assistance with account deletion or additional personal information requests, contact:

privacy@rothermelstrength.com

We may require reasonable identity verification before fulfilling certain requests. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children and Minors

StrengthMap's strength classifications and assessment models are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.

StrengthMap is not designed to provide strength classifications for minors.

Rothermel Strength LLC may provide separate coaching services to individuals under 18 when appropriate, with parental or legal guardian involvement and applicable consent.

Our websites are not intended for children under 13 to independently submit personal information. Parents or guardians should contact us directly regarding coaching services for children.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances requiring consent that was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

  • Requesting access to certain personal information

  • Requesting correction of inaccurate information

  • Requesting deletion of personal information

  • Requesting information about how personal data is processed

  • Exercising applicable choices or opt-out rights relating to certain processing activities

You may contact us with questions or requests related to these rights.

We will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

These services may operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Rothermel Strength LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any external services they choose to access.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technologies, or legal obligations change.

When updates occur, we will revise the date at the top of this policy and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.

We encourage users to review this policy periodically for updates.
